LBO Crystals - Large Crystal Sizes of up to 15x20mm Available |
30 Oct 2018 Lithium Triborate, or LBO is a nonlinear optical crystal discovered and developed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The crystal features a broad transparency range, from 160nm to 2600nm with a wide acceptance angle and small walk-off . LBO is phase matchable for SHG and THG of Nd:YAG and Nd:YLF lasers using either Type I or Type II non-critical phase matching. As well as the NCPM for angular variation, the non-critical phase matching for spectral variation (SNCPM) can be achieved with LBO. Its spectral characteristics make it suitable for doubling broadband coherent radiation near 1.3um. LASER COMPONENTS is able to offer large crystal sizes of up to 15x20mm, with a maximum length of 60mm. LBO may be coated with either a dual band anti-reflective coating for SHG of 1064nm, or a broadband anti-reflective coating for SHG of tuneable lasers.
