10 May 2018 Ultrafast operation of BBO Pockels cells offered by EKSMA Optics is essential for pulse picking applications of high power femtosecond lasers emitting pulses in trains up to 100 MHz frequency rates. Ultrafast BBO Pockels cells allow to pick down to single pulse from such a train. BBO Pockels cells can be operated in various burst modes with appropriate driver electronics.
EKSMA Optics also offers high contrast ratio >1:1000 four crystals BBO Pockels cells with reduced high voltage requirements for λ/2 or λ/4 operation.
