26 Apr 2018 AUREA Technology provides the SPD_OEM_NIR first free-running and gated modes NIR Single Photon Counting OEM module, based on a cooled Geiger-mode InGaAs avalanche photodiode (SPAD). This is the most compact, light-weight, and fastest high-performance dual-mode Near-Infrared [900 nm-1700 nm] Single Photon detector available in the industry.
It is designed to be easily integrated into the most demanding optical instruments used in QKD quantum cryptography, FLIM fluorescence imaging microscopes, Time-Resolved Photoluminescence, Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting, Geiger-mode LIDAR and many more applications.
Two Dark Count Rate (DCR) noise grades are available, the champion and the standard:
The dual mode SPD_OEM_NIR champion-grade version performs ultra-low-noise DCR < 1.000 cps and high Photon Detection Efficiency up to 30% at trigger rate up to 100 MHz with a deadtime that can be set from 100 ns to 1 ms.
The dual mode SPD_OEM_NIR standard-grade version performs very-low-noise DCR < 5.000 cps and high Photon Detection Efficiency up to 25% at trigger rate up to 20 MHz with a deadtime that can be set from 1 μs to 1 ms.
Each detected photon is reflected by a TTL pulse, with a timing resolution of below 200 ps. The trigger input allows the synchronization with the laser or the pulse generator. The parameters set-ups and data transmission are managed via its mini-USB interface by using an easy-to-use Graphical User Interface. DLL library compatible to LabVIEW, C++ and the most well-known programming languages are provided. |
