InGaAs revolution is on with C-RED 2

01 Nov 2016

The latest scientific camera of First Light Imaging outperforms the capacities of its 640 x 512 InGaAs 15 µm pixels high resolution sensor, offering a breakthrough frame rate up to 400 images per second full frame while being ultra-sensitive: from 10 to 30 electrons read out noise at full speed.

C-RED 2 is smart. Its very dense electronic interface is designed for a very compact camera, easily embeddable, remote controlled, able to equip any system over the world, as simple as plug-and-play. C-RED 2 can operate in very low light conditions and in any environment.

The state of the art cooling system performed by First Light Imaging allows the incredible performance of 10 electrons RON with air cooling, and even extra performances with liquid cooling (no LN). With 14 bits for an extreme precision, C-RED 2 is offering the fastest acquisition rate of all InGaAs SWIR cameras for a very sensitive high resolution imaging. C-RED 2 has a C-mount optical interface, as well as cameralink full and superspeed USB3 outputs.

Covering a wavelength from 0.8 to 1.7 µm with 70% QE, C-RED 2 is essential for Astronomy, Biology or Industry applications, and improves SWIR imaging.

C-RED 2 will be commercially available in January 2017. Visit http://www.first-light.fr and www.first-light.fr/c-red-2/ for datasheet and information.
