16 Apr 2015 Hamamatsu Photonics introduces the C13053MA; a compact and thin, high-sensitivity CMOS mini-spectrometer module with a built-in trigger function. It is ideal for sugar level measurement and acidity detection in foods, in addition to plastic sorting or for use as a thickness gauge.
The C13053MA offers high sensitivity equivalent to CCDs from 500 - 1100 nm, with light input via a fibre optic cable. Moreover, the internal trigger function allows for spectroscopic measurement of pulse emissions down to 11 microseconds. No external power supply is required; it simply operates through USB bus power.
