Moxtek® is pleased to announce the ICE Cube ™ Polarizing Beam Splitter (PBS)

14 Aug 2014

Moxtek’s ICE Cube is optimized for use over a wide range of acceptance angles while maintaining color uniformity and image contrast in the visible wavelength ranges.  The ICE Cube enables compact designs and reduced optical paths.  Engineers are now able to design smaller systems while maintaining excellent optical performance. Our cube can be optimized for high Index, Contrast, or Efficiency (ICE) and is a superior choice over MacNeille cube designs.

The ICE Cube is assembled by embedding our ProFlux® PBS plate at the hypotenuse of two AR coated glass prisms. The ICE Cube polarizing beam splitters separate natural light into two main orthogonal, linearly polarized components; the P-polarized light which is transmitted while the S-polarized light is reflected at a 90˚ angle.  In principle, half of the incident light is reflected and the other half is transmitted.

Moxtek ProFlux optical polarizers and beamsplitters enable advancements in projection display and analytical instrumentation including: office and home projection, near-eye display, 3D projection, television technology, and optical analysis instrumentation. ProFlux polarizers provide high purity polarization, excellent temperature durability, and can be configured into various footprints.

Moxtek is a leading supplier of advanced nano-optical components used in projection display, imaging, and analytical instrumentation. Moxtek provides innovative, solution-based products and services focused on performance, quality, and durability.
