New branch in Singapore to serve customers in South-East Asia directly.
Having outsourced many facilities for the manufacture of optics to Asia, it became possible for this region to establish a significant economic area for the production as well as the development of optics. TRIOPTICS GmbH, a leading manufacturer of optical measurement devices, achieved the required close supervision and support of the production processes located there with the establishment of local subsidiary companies in China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan.
In order to transpose this success to South-East Asia too, on July 1, 2018, the company established its branch TRIOPTICS Singapore Pte. Ltd. in the eponymous city-state. Danny Ng, who studied physics, joined the company as General Manager. With his 18 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, of which 11 years were spent in the field of optics development, he is already completely familiar with both customers’ requirements and also optical measuring devices. He got to know TRIOPTICS’ products in their day-to-day use when testing the imaging quality of optics he had developed. “I am looking forward to being able to equip customers in South-East Asia with TROPTICS’ versatile systems”, is how Danny Ng describes his new job. “In order to guarantee all customers in the region comprehensive attention, I will immediately assemble a team of qualified specialists for TRIOPTICS in Singapore.”
The branch will operate as a first port of call for all sales and service-oriented requirements in the region. In addition to Singapore, the company’s activities are focussed on the markets Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand. “The demand for high-quality measuring instruments in these countries has increased enormously during the last few years”, is how Managing Director Steffan Gold (TRIOPTICS GmbH) explains the decision to establish a subsidiary company. “We in Germany are simply much too far away to be able to offer efficient support. TRIOPTICS Singapore together with Danny Ng will make an essential contribution here in acting more closely with the customers and in meeting challenges with solutions.”
