| Super-flexible medical robot made from optical fiber. The Fibre-bots project is part of a wider surgery program at Imperial, backed with £6.5m from the EPSRC. Made of a flexible hollow optical fiber, the device is controlled by a surgeon once inserted into a patient, to investigate organs such as breast, throat, lungs, and gut.
