| With the demise of Konarka Technologies, Heliatek is now regarded by many as the biggest player in terms of organic PV commercialization. At the SPIE Optics + Photonics conference, the German company's head of R&D physics Christian Uhrich showed off some of the first flexible solar cells to have been fabricated using the company's new pilot roll-to-roll production process. Cells made at the site should become commercially available during the final quarter of 2012. |
