| Energy Focus, Inc. started off life as "Fiberstars", and was focused on fiber-optic lighting technology. The company expanded into LED-based solid-state lighting in 2005 and has developed a number of products, including a linear fixture that is designed to replace fluorescent tubes with a higher-efficiency, mercury-free, longer-lasting alternative.
