The 193 nm excimer ablation microprobe, the GeoLasPro, enables quantitative elemental analysis of solid samples by means of high resolution LA-ICP-MS.
Request infoExcimer sampling delivers precise results in the analysis of fluid inclusions, fossil’s, marine or pharmaceutical samples as well as isotope ratios.
Solid sampling with GeoLasPro makes the most out of today’s advanced mass spectrometers. It provides unmatched energy densities ranging from below 1 J/cm² up to 45 J/cm² for material-independent solid sampling. GeoLasPro utilizes sophisticated homogenizing optics to ensure accurate and shallow depth control along with flat-bottom craters between 4 µm and 160 µm. Using 193 nm wavelength in solid sampling produces the smallest particle sizes, the highest signal intensities and the lowest fractionation due to optimum material-light interaction. GeoLasPro has a rigid design which is virtually maintenance-free and allows the user to focus on what he or she is really interested in – uncompromised solid sampling and data recording day after day.
