DKDP crystals for pulsed high energy laser frequency conversion Mar 13, 2009

Relatively low growth expenses of DKDP crystals and fast growth process makes DKDP cost effective solution for the high energy Q-switched lasers where large diameter beams - 10 mm and more are typical.
High energy pulses require preparation of surface quality to better than 10/5 scr/dig MIL standard and good flatness - exceeding lambda/4 or lambda/6 at 633 nm.
EKSMA OPTICS offers surface polishing quality better than 10/5 scr/dig and flatness better than lambda/6 of DKDP crystals with clear apertures up to dia 20 mm. However DKDP crystals with apertures up to 70x70 mm are available for special applications in very high energy lasers.
