AM6-976E series 976 nm 10 W Pump Diodes Jan 5, 2009

A new series of highly efficient, 976nm, 10W pump laser diodes from Alfalight, Inc. is available in compact uncooled 6 pin packages.

The AM6-976E series provides 10 W of 976 nm light output and is available now via Pacer with high brightness 105 µm, 0.15 or 0.22 NA fibre. The main applications are pulsed fibre lasers and fibre amplifier systems.

The new higher output diode includes a thermistor for temperature monitoring, supporting precision wavelength control at 976nm. It is available in a compact 6-pin Telcordia-qualified, fully hermetic housing and has an expected mean time to failure exceeding 100,000 hours.
