International Summer School "New Frontiers in Optical Technologies"

The International Summer School 'New Frontiers in Optical Technologies' is a biennial event held at Tampere University of Technology, Finland. This year's event will build on the success of previous Schools, in particular that of 2007, which attracted a record 150 participants from 19 countries. In 2009 the School will once again offer students the opportunity to exchange scientific ideas, create contacts, and gain inspiration from leading researchers at the cutting edge of technology.

Topics this year include nanosemiconductor devices, nanophotonics and metamaterials, advances in optical fiber development, photovoltaics, biophotonics, and generation of high-energy, few-cycle optical pulses. Register now to secure your place!
