CLEO Europe / IQEC

CLEO Europe / IQEC (Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics Europe and International Quantum Electronics Conference), which take place throughout the 17-22 June period, are both organized by the European Physical Society. CLEO / Europe will emphasize applied physics, engineering and applications of lasers and electro-optics, while IQEC 2007 will focus on fundamental science including laser physics, nonlinear optics and fundamentals of quantum optics.

CLEO Europe will be showcasing the latest developments in many different aspects of laser and photonics technology, including materials, device development, systems engineering, fabrication and applications. Meanwhile, IQEC -- which is jointly organized by the EPS and the International Committee on Quantum Electronics -- will cover the fundamentals of quantum and atom optics, quantum information, cold atoms and molecules, as well as basic research in lasers and spectroscopy, nonlinear and ultra-fast optics and dynamics, instabilities and patterns.

The CLEO Europe / IQEC 2007 technical program will feature contributed papers on all fields of quantum electronics, lasers and photonics. Various aspects of the technologies will be covered, including fundamentals, device development, systems, and applications.
